Welcome to Strike and Submit

Strike and Submit is two things: First an ONLINE Mixed Martial Arts Academy, and second, a Mixed Martial Arts Community which helps to support our student base and organization.

At Strike and Submit (SAS), we are absolutely dedicated to taking your Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) skills including striking and submission grappling to the next level. We have broken down our system from beginner to advanced, and organized it in the same manner as most Martial Arts belts, yet we are skipping the in between belts. 

SAS BELT SYSTEM

In MMA there is no belt system since no organization to date has created one. Thus, we created our own by minimizing the belts to ONLY three. 

White belt with stripes color ranges from white to blue (Beginner).

Blue Belt with color ranges blue to purple   (Intermediate).

Brown Belt color ranges purple to brown (Advanced). 

BLACK BELTS:  

Advanced Belts like Brown and Black Belts will be given only to those SAS students in person at our regional and national seminars and are not available through our online instructions. In the near future, in addition to our online level advancement, we plan to have Authorized Testing Sites (ATS) and at these locations, we will encourage our user community to go and practice what they have learned in a real gym environment.

NOTE:

Within each belt level, there are several components. These are made up of stand-up strikes covering both Muay Thai Boxing, traditional Boxing, and Tai Kwon Do styles. (TKD techniques are not required testing at this time and for informational purposes only).

No belts for striking: We realize there are no belts for boxing and Muay Thai, however, we identify the various SAS levels with colored gloves using the same color scheme as mentioned above. 

On the ground: For your ground game, we teach you the basic to advanced Judo takedowns, mounts, side control, and guard techniques. As for submissions, you will learn everything from armbars, triangles, omoplatas from the guard, side, and mount. We even cover the most advanced submission techniques such as knee bars, flying armbars, Z guard, D'Arce, and Clock Chokes.

DIFFERENCE

First and foremost, all of our instructional video and information IS FREE to our paid members. We do not take the boring routine of most instructional tapes or DVDs that just show you hours upon hours of poor quality video techniques, our HD quality videos are shot from multiple HD cameras, at various angles that are easy to see and understand.

COMMUNITY BUILDING

Our focus of providing the highest quality academic content has specific goals and objectives, we interest you into learning about the growing industry of MMA, we teach you from the ground floor up as if you were a member of an extremely high quality school for years, and most importantly after you learn the techniques at home, we give you the oppurtunity to film your technique at home, upload the file (for example Armbar from the Guard) to our site on your member profile, and ultimately get tested by one of our professionals with our CyberBelt-up system. At SAS, we give you the ability to advance from beginner to intermediate, or intermediate to advanced in the same manner you would by getting tested at your local studio after you learn and master the techniques for that level.

ABOUT OUR CONTENT

Our videos are short and to the point. Most of our videos are under 1 minute, isolating one technique at a time and showing that technique from various angles. You can watch them repeatedly and master each technique.
